MLP:FIM armour: Canterlot Royal Guards

Some MLP:FIM-themed armour sets. These sets are based on the Canterlot Royal Guards; the one on the left is based of Celestia's guards, the one in the center is based on the night guards from It's About Time and the one on the right is based on Luna's guards from Luna Eclipsed. These are all made for a male wearer.

The overall design for these armour sets is is a cross between that of the Roman Legionaires and Gondorian soldiers. The helmets are based on Greek helmets with the Celestia and Luna guard helmets featuring segmented neck guards. And all helmets feature special pins on the brow for the placement of a detachable horn. The cuirasses are based on the Roman lorica segmentata each one with a slightly different design and each features a badge or brooch on the chest. And they all feature special brackets for holding Hussar-like wings, the Celestia and night guards having feathered wings while the Luna guard has bat-like wings with a canvas membrane over a wooden frame. They also come with segmented tassets similar to those of the Gondorian soldiers from the LOTR series. The arm defenses are a simple rerebrace and bazuband-style vambrace and gauntlets. The leg defenses are a simple pair of greaves and sabatons with hobnail soles similar to the hobnailed shoes worn by the Roman Legionaires. The shields for the Celestia and night guards are based on the Roman scutum with a round boss in the center made to look like the sun. The shield for the Luna guard is shaped like a crescent moon with an eliptical boss in the center made to look like a cat's eye. The shield for the night guard is the same as the Celestia guard only a different color and no sun motif; same for the sword. The swords for each set is based on the Roman gladuis being short double-edged thrusting swords. The crossguard and pommel for the Luna guard sword are crescent-shaped. The scabbards for each sword is made of wood covered in leather and fitted with a metal locket and chape. The swords are worn on the right hip suspended with a long leather cord from the left shoulder and is held in place by a simple belt across the waist.

The armour for Celestia's guard are made of bronze-plated steel. The night guard armour is also made of steel with a dark greyish blue enamel finish. The Luna guard armour is also steel with a lavender enamel finish and silver accents.
